Llancayo House

a 19th century house in spectacular countryside

The house.

.

Built in 1818 by the silk merchant Edward Berry, this Grade II listed Georgian mansion was built on grounds which date back to medieval times. The building was once part of Llancayo Farm whose estate includes the still standing, but derelict wheat windmill. There is freedom to roam in the paddock, and walled garden. It is set in tranquil, private and picturesque surroundings, situated in the Usk Valley, next to the famous River Usk

If you enjoy the countryside, you will love staying here. There are many local activities from which to choose, including fishing, (day licenses are available), horse riding, golf, grass skiing and gliding to name but a few. You can visit Usk's prize winning gardens, and see Usk Castle with it's panoramic views of the valley.
